Atmos supported the Department of General Services with cleanup of a sewer backup that occurred at Eaton Elementary School. The impacted areas included classroom floors, associated hallways, and two common spaces. We performed bulk extraction, discarded materials, disinfected flooring (two rounds), and disinfected vertical surfaces that touched the floor. We also utilized an anti-microbial fogger for additional protection. After cleanup was complete a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) performed an occupancy clearance investigation including an IAQ, conducted visual observations, and sewage gas monitoring for substances such as hydrogen sulfide.
