Atmos Solutions was awarded the design-build contract to lead the comprehensive modernization of Emery School, a historic education facility in the heart of Washington, D.C. This project is part of the District’s long-term investment in high-performing, sustainable schools that support student achievement and community vitality. The modernization scope includes full interior and exterior renovations to transform the existing campus into a 21st-century learning environment. Key upgrades include new HVAC and electrical systems, modernized classrooms, ADA-compliant features including a new elevator, full roof replacement, upgraded windows and doors, and revitalized outdoor play and recreational spaces. The project is being executed in phases to allow for partial occupancy during construction, ensuring uninterrupted operations for school staff. All work is being completed in alignment with LEED principles and D.C.’s sustainability goals, with an emphasis on energy efficiency, indoor air quality, and modern educational standards.
